Ashworth Gardens Bed & Breakfast
Ashworth Gardens B&B is situated above the Clutha River near the historic Millers Flat Bridge.
Whether you are travelling from Dunedin, Invercargill, Queenstown, The Catlins, or cycling the Clutha Gold Trail, why not stop for a friendly comfortable stay.
The popular Clutha Gold Cycling Trail runs right past our front gate. We can arrange to have hired bikes at Ashworth Gardens B&B if required.
The house is set amongst beautiful grounds with over 100 Rhododendrons, Azaleas and a multitude of spring bulbs. In summer the many roses and colourful flowers attract Tui, Bellbirds and other native birds. Your hosts, Allan & Isabel, are keen gardeners and are happy to share their garden with you.
Adjacent to Ashworth Gardens are tennis courts, a children’s playground and a café/restaurant serving delicious food and coffee. Further up the road is the Millers Flat heated swimming pool, which has an average water temperature in summer of 27 degrees
Evening meals are available, just a 5 minute walk across the bridge at the Millers Flat Tavern.
Allan is also an avid collector of yesterday’s New Zealand Curios, and a museum displaying the collection is open for your enjoyment.
Isabel is a qualified massage therapist and Reiki master/teacher.

Interesting and hospitable owners who entertained us as though we were family. It is wonderful that this property is owned by a couple with the skills and talents to make it such a comfortable, welcoming B&B. The garden is outstanding and was at its peak for late spring when we were staying
Lovely friendly hosts in a beautiful house with outstanding gardens. Well done Isobel & Allan. Loved the gallery as well. Your recommendation for the local pub for dinner was excellent. Loved the atmosphere.
Lovely people, lovely home and gardens. Very friendly reception and we really enjoyed chatting and getting to know Isabel and Allan. Loved that they also welcomed our dog – means so much to us. Would definitely stay again.
